Puppy School is a national course designed specifically for puppies under 20 weeks old at the start of the course. This course is the perfect mixture of socialisation & training whether you want a well mannered family pet or plan to compete at any dog training sport.

Puppy School is an established network of puppy training class tutors. At these puppy training classes, only kind, effective techniques are used and puppies are 'educated' to have good manners, be friendly with adults, children and other dogs, and to respond to commands.

Puppy School puppy training classes are of the highest standard and the highly trained, professional tutors make the classes stimulating and fun for owners and puppies.

Puppy School is a set of 6 puppy training classes lasting 1 hour. The comprehensive programme has been carefully designed to take you through all the obedience basics giving you a good foundation for life with your new puppy or for any dog training sport you choose to do later. The course costs £150 (plus £2 booking fee). Please email to book or use the link at the bottom of this page.

During the pandemic, Puppy School developed an excellent online course. We will continue to use this in the event that we are not allowed to run indoor classes (fingers crossed, this is getting less likely now). This may mean some courses are fully online and some are a mix of face to face and online training. We regret that when booking classes we are unable to refund your course fee on the basis that some or all of the classes have moved online. We can also stream our classes in the event that you cannot attend due to illness etc. As we are a small company, days off have a big effect on our incomes and timetabling, we also do not want to contribute to the spread of covid. We are maintaining some covid procedures in order to reduce this possibility. These include; individual training zones, masks for close work and hygiene measures. Please do not attend classes or 121's if you test positive for covid.

Would you like a 121 session before your course starts?

Our puppy 121's are £65 for an hour long session and include a training summary via email. This gives us time to chat through any issues you may be having (e.g. nipping, housetraining or introducing your pup to existing pets). We do short sessions of training to get you started, provided the puppy is awake and interested - we explain how to best judge when to train and how much to do early on.

Prefer to Home School?

A set of six lessons covering the exercises learnt in Puppy School, plus exercises tailored to your puppy and life style are available at £360. Sessions are 45-60 minutes depending on how your puppy copes with training (Home School can be more intense than Puppy School as you don't have to wait your turn). If you have several 45 minute sessions, you'll get a seventh session at no extra charge.
